Child Safety Standards (CSAE)
Foly (operated by Fruitlab) maintains the following standards and procedures to prevent child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE).
Core principles
- Foly is an AI character chat service for users aged 18 and over (15 and over in South Korea). Users below the age requirement are not permitted to sign up or use the service.
- We apply a zero-tolerance policy to child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and child sexual abuse material (CSAM).
- When such content or behaviour is confirmed, the account is permanently suspended immediately and reported to law enforcement and other authorities as required by law.
Prevention and response
- At sign-up we collect the user's date of birth, and anyone below the age requirement (18, or 15 in South Korea) cannot join. The date of birth cannot be changed after sign-up, and anyone found to be below the requirement has their access suspended and account deleted.
- Every character in a user-created work (characters and stories) must be an adult. Settings that make a character appear to be a minor — such as being a student, wearing a school uniform or looking young — are not allowed, and the same rule applies to AI character replies.
- Just before a work is published, AI checks its text and images, and works that clearly break the rules are not published. Our operations team reviews published works afterward, and reported works are checked again and taken down if needed.
- Adult-only content is available only on the web. It is shown only to adult-verified adult users who have turned on "Show mature content" (off by default), and it never appears in the app.
- Users can report profiles, chats, works and creator pages directly, and block anyone they don't want to interact with.
- Reported content is reviewed by our operations team, and violations lead to content removal and account penalties.
- Child safety reports are handled as a priority, and materials are provided to authorities where necessary.
Reporting
In the app and on the web you can report immediately using Report on a profile or in a chat, Report in the menu of a published work's chat, or Report on a creator page. For child safety concerns or suspected CSAE/CSAM, you can also use the dedicated channel below. Reports are reviewed and acted on promptly.
